Chile – Revenues heated up across Chile in March

Gross Gaming Revenue for the casinos operating in Chile including the seven municipal casinos stood at $39,793m in March. This is an increase of two per cent compared to the same month last year, but a decrease of 0.1 per cent over the last 12 months. On average visitors spent $60,228 each 0.9 per cent more when compared to March 2016. Meanwhile, total visitors to the municipal casinos (not including the casino in Puerto Varas which does not record this information) stood at 250,968  for the month of March. However data for average visitor spend in the municipal casinos is still unavailable for the municipal casinos.

In March the municipalities and regions where the casinos are located received a total of $4,473m in gaming tax revenue from the seventeen non municipal casinos while they also generated an additional $1,477m in tax on entrance fees for the state. On top of this amount they also generated $4,377m in gaming VAT.
